JENNIFER DOOLAN - OWNER OF JD DANCE
Jennie has been dancing since the age of 3 years old, training in Ballet, Pointe, Tap and modern dance untill she was 16 years old. She later went to train at Pendleton College and on to Coventry University where she gained a degree in dance making and performace. Jennie has since trained in New York at Broadway dance centre with the best in the business, as well as completing seasons at Haven Holidays as a dancer and teaching abroad. It was on her return from teaching abroad that she decided it was time to open her own dance school in the community in which she grew up. Jennie wanted to give back to the community with exciting affordable dance classes giving children the experiences and opportunities that she never had.
KAYLEIGH JONES - ADMIN
Kayleigh has been with JD Dance from the start, assisting Jennie with the running of the school. She is a vital member of the team and is the main point of contact for all the parents and staff, when it comes to attendance, upcoming shows and general enquiries. Kayleigh is loved all round by everyone at JD Dance, always willing to help with a friendly face.
JECOLIAH KING - DANCE TEACHER
Jecoliah has been teaching at JD Dance since April 2017. Jecoliah has always loved to dance, her biggest inspiration being Beyonce/Destiny's Child. She trained at Shockout Arts Dance School. Jecoliah has been successful in her journey as a dancer touring and appearing in music videos with various artists i.e Kendrick Lamar, French Montana and Sean Paul. Jecoliah wants to pass on what she has and still is learning throughout her journey onto the upcoming dancers that aspire to do what she does in the future.
ANNA SMITH - DANCE TEACHER
Anna began dancing at 16 years old, training at a college in Warrington. She then went on to train at Shockout Arts Dance School where she gained a first class honours degree in professional and commercial dance. Anna also trained with Abby Lee Miller in Los Angeles, and has since performed in various different projects i.e Celebrity Cruises, Pheonix Dance Theatre and appeared on numerous tv shows. Anna loves to teach and she says ‘there is no better feeling than watching students achieve their goals and progress into the role models society truly needs'.
JOHN HOEY - BOYS STREET DANCE TEACHER
John is our newest member of the team, teaching the 'All Boys Street Dance' class on a Monday. John has been dancing for 8 years, training in street dance and break dance. John gained a level 2 performing arts qualification from Bolton College and is a qualified IDTA street dance teacher. John currently teaches all over Salford and enjoys witnessing the growth of children in their dancing.
